A Wedding Day is said to be the most important day in a couples lives. Here at Startrax Disco we believe that music plays a big part in their special day. We can provide everything from Ceremony Music for civil & religious wedding ceremonies, background music chosen by the bride & groom during the wedding meal, and 5 hour disco entertainment for your evening reception with the biggest floorfillers from the past 6 decades.

Making The Right Choice
 
With over 20 years experience and covering over 1,200 Weddings, Barney's Startrax Disco Roadshow is tried & tested. All our testimonials are 100% genuine, all the photographs throughout the website were taken by our photographer. We can meet with our Bride & Grooms to discuss how you would like your day / evening to run. You can speak with any of our past Bride & Grooms, from any date or venue you wish. You can come along to see us play at an upcoming Wedding (subject to permission by the Bride & Groom). A lot of DJs say NO to this request, stating that as its a private Wedding, you basically can't intrude on someone's big day. I have never had a Bride or Groom say NO to this request. What harm would a potential Bride be doing standing at the back of the function room for 10 minutes watching the entertainment she is thinking of booking for her big day. Unless of course the DJ appears better in an e-mail than how he appears on stage.

How long will you play for at our function?
We play for a maximum of 5 hours for the price you were quoted, extra hours can be arranged when booking.


What music do you play?
Just like it says on the tin. We play all the biggest floorfillers over the past 6 decades. Weddings have guests of all ages from Toddlers to Grandparents, so its important to make sure that the music is suitable for every generation. We have an online music catalogue where the majority of our Bride & Grooms choose a suggested playlist to give us an indication of the kind of music they would like to hear at their evening reception.

Can you provide a written contract?
Yes we can. Once you have made your initial enquiry, either by e-mail or telephone, when we have all your details, we will send you out your contract along with our Wedding Information Pack.

 
Do you require a deposit?
Yes we do. A £50 deposit (non-refundable) is required within ten days of booking.

When do you require final payment?
Some couples pay their final balance to their Wedding Suppliers a few weeks before the big day, which means they are not carrying large amount of cash. You can settle your balance early, either by sending off a cheque (no later than 2 weeks before your Wedding) or alternatively you can pay online. If you would prefer to pay the remainder of your balance on the day itself, then the preferred method is cash, prior to the start of your evenings entertainment.

 
Or if your registered with PayPal, you can pay your Deposit or Balance online.
 

When do we receive our 100 complimentary invitations?
Once your deposit has been paid you can have your invitations immediately. We will then show you an online sample of how your invitation will look and once your happy with the colours & the wording - we will order them up. If your Wedding is a year or two away we will not print them until closer to your date. You can purchase additional invitations for £20 per 100.


Will you be suitably dressed at our Wedding?
Yes we will. If we are at any part of your day (before 7.30pm) we will be in shirt & tie. For the evening entertainment we change into our more relaxed attire of black trousers, and black or grey company polo shirts.

Can we meet with you?
Yes you can. Provided you don't live at the other side of the country I can call out and see you (Jaffa cakes must be provided) and explain in more detail what you're paying for.

Is it possible at our Wedding you could supply background music during the meal?
Yes we can. You can go online and pick a 2 hour playlist (try and keep it easy listening, i.e. Celine Dion, Lionel Richie, Dr Hook etc.) it isn't really the place for a wee Metallica number.

We are getting married abroad and when we come home we are planning an After Wedding Party. Could you show our Wedding Photos or Video on your big screen?
Yes we can show your photos / video on our big screen (subject to space availability at your venue). There is no extra charge for this service.

I've been quoted £150 by another DJ for my Wedding. Can you match this?
No we can't. A lot of factors need to be considered when booking your disco, ask yourself the following questions :-
 
Are they a well established business with a lot of experience or are they new?
 
Will they have all the music you require & at the quality you expect?
 
Does the DJ interact with the guests via a microphone or does he play song after song with no introductions?
 
Are they flexible and able to meet all of your requirements?
 
If the answer to any of these are
NO
then paying a lower price may not provide you with the entertainment that you require.

Do you have Public Liability Insurance?
Yes we do, we carry £10 million Public Liability Insurance cover. A copy of the certificate is available on request.
